Krakow is a historic city located in southern Poland that is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, stunning architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and a must-visit destination for travellers looking to explore Poland. It is the former capital of Poland the second-largest city in the country, with a population of around 770,000 people. Widely recognized as the cultural capital of Poland, it is famous for its bohemian atmosphere, great theatres, galleries and museums. The city has a well-preserved historic centre, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Some of the most notable landmarks in Krakow include the Wawel Royal Castle, the Main Market Square, St. Mary’s Basilica and one of the oldest universities in Europe – Jagiellonian University.  Krakow is also famous for its cultural events, such as the annual Krakow Film Festival, the Jewish Culture Festival, and the Krakow Christmas Market.
