Hanoi University of Mining and Geology
Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) was established in 1966 as a public higher education institution under the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. Taking full advantage of global intellectual-based technologies, HUMG moves forward for its prestige and reputation as an unique university in the fields of Mining, Geology, Petroleum, Surveying, and Mapping in Vietnam. While improving the traditional programs, the University is making efforts to diversify its training programs. Faculty of Economics and Business Management, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Electro-Mechanics, Faculty of Environment Technology, and Faculty of Construction have been newly established in this trend. The main campus of the HUMG is in Duc Thang, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi, Vietnam. The university also has three other representative offices in Quang Ninh – the heart of Vietnam coal mining industry and bordering Ha Long Bay, in Da Nang – Central coastal city and gateway to the Central Highlands, and in Vung Tau – the oil city in the South of Vietnam. In addition, an internship facility is located in Lang Son, a northern border city. The Hanoi campus will be extended and designed to comply with the facilities of an advanced and modernized university.
