Architectural accessibility
Accessibility to enter the building and pass through control areas
The main entrance to the building is located at Aleja Mickiewicza 30. There are stairs (7 steps) at the entrance to the building. This entrance is not accessible to wheelchair users.
The entrance to the back of the building from the northern courtyard, where the elevator to the building is located, has been adapted for wheelchair users. Intercoms are installed at the entrance and exit from the courtyard to contact the concierge in the event of a closed gate. People with disabilities will not be able to get to the gatehouse – there is no level communication between floor -1 and the gatehouse (6 steps) and floor 0 and the gatehouse (16 steps).
Availability of corridors, stairs and elevators
The corridors in the building allow for free movement. There are no differences in levels in the communication part, except for the access to the reception desk.
The stairs do not have special facilities for people with disabilities, except for the access to rooms no. 380-383, where a lift is installed.
The building is equipped with 3 elevators personal:
- two internal ones, dimensions: 1.1×1.3 m, moving between floors from -1 (low ground floor) to the 3rd floor (-1, 0, 1, 2, 3), partially adapted to the needs of people with disabilities .
- external, constituting the entrance/exit from the northern courtyard, adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, moving between floors from the ground level outside the building (P) to the 2nd floor – (P, -1, 0, 1, 2 ).
Elevators are equipped with voice messages and labels in Braille.
The building has two toilets for people with disabilities, located on the first and third floor.
The AGH Main Hall is equipped with an FM system that supports hearing.
Information on the location and method of using parking spaces designated for disabled people
In the internal parking lot, on the side of the entrance (elevator) adapted for disabled people, there is a parking space for people with disabilities.
The entrance to the parking lot is from Reymonta Street 7 (Main Gate). The entrance to the parking lot is limited by a barrier with an intercom and a service desk. It is possible to apply for a card that opens the barrier or assistance from an employee of the AGH UST Guard.
