My Erasmus+ adventure started in December 2019, when I submitted my first application for a Staff Mobility For Teaching trip to partner countries under the programme. At that time, I decided to visit the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Ukraine. I managed to complete this grant only in November 2021, thanks to the relaxation of pandemic regulations. The experience of the trip was a pleasant surprise for me. Thanks to the lectures, I was able to establish and build friendships both academically and privately. These continue to result in joint research, internships, exchanges of experience… and, most importantly, publications.
In July 2021, I was awarded a Staff Mobility For Teaching to the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University in Nur-Sultan (now Astana). A trip to the Kazakhstan turned out to be a success. After my classes, I was asked by a doctoral student there to take over as a research supervisor. I was also able to establish a close research collaboration with the academic staff. Since then, I have visited S. Seifulin University 3 more times of which 2 trips were organized and funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan as part of inviting foreign scholars to teach Kazakh students. I currently supervise 5 PhD students and work closely with the University staff.
As part of the Erasmus+ programme, I was also able to visit Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania and Al–Farabi Kazakh National University. I have implemented the experience gained there in my teaching and research work. A trip to MEF University in Istanbul, Turkey, is the next one to be realised, and I have high hopes about this one.
Erasmus+ has given me the basis to develop myself professionally as well as socially and culturally. It has motivated me to be active, exploratory, and open-minded. I hope that I will continue to receive funding from this programme, as it is a great opportunity to internationalise our Alma Mater, especially in the initial phases of establishing professional partnerships.

I’m writing to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the enriching experience I had during my recent staff mobility for training at China University of Mining and Technology. My name is Małgorzata Orlik, an Administrative Officer from AGH University of Krakow, and I had the privilege of participating in this program from September 15 to 24, 2018.
